AN-2 - Viajero

Do you like space disco? Of course you do.

"Theomatic celebrates its 10th release with An-2's epic 'Viajero'. Spanish for 'voyager', 'Viajero' is a dedication to all travellers and the spirit of travel. It's about the fact that every traveller searching for better place on Earth every time ends up with the same - meets himself. The track is a result of a long work, waves that you hear in the background is Pacific Ocean recorded at Machalilla National Park in Ecuador while guitar was recorded in Izhevsk, Russia - An-2's hometown, it's performed by Ramil Vafin, keen guitarist, guitar maker and big friend of An-2 (by the way nearly all guitars and basses that you hear in An-2 tracks are made by him), finally it all found it's way together in An-2's St.Petersburg studio. The remix comes courtesy of the ever excellent duo Acos Coolkas."

Both versions are fantastic, with the remix having much more house feel. Enjoy.

Here are some previously unreleased tracks from The Fresh Mode favorite, Lindstrøm. On the A side we have "The Magnificent", a track that is much more dancey then it's B side companion "The Perfect Symmetry." Both are extremely welcome additions to any fan's library.

Russ Chimes - Daytona

The Valerie and Friends compilation dropped late last month, check back ater for the full thing, but here's a single off of it by Russ Chimes titled "Daytona" to hold you over. The album is a fantastic mix of tracks, but Daytona really stands out. Composed of pounding beats and some wailing synths it feels like it's straight out of a TV theme. Enjoy.

We Plants Are Happy Plants - 548

Check out this debut EP from We Plants Are Happy Plants titled "548". A perfect mix of spacey synth riffs mixed with solid acid beats. It's extremely enjoyable, with my favorite track being Invisible Elephant.

Also included below is another one of their tracks titled "Apollo." It starts off with a fantastic sample that sets the mood for the entire track. A 32 note arpeggio lays the groundwork and once the percussion and synths come in, you'll feel like your dancing in outer space, our favorite place to be.
