Keljet - Laserflies

An awesome original track from Keljet titled "Laseflies." A great blend of cosmic disco and gorgeous synth work. If I had a car, particularly a convertible, I would blast this while doing 90 down the highway sometime around sunset.

The Swiss - Double or Nothing (Video)

The Swiss - Double or Nothing from Modular People on Vimeo.

Here's a ridiculously good single from The Swiss. A wonderful blend of nu disco and funk. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the video, but the track will absolutely get you dancing.

Rocco Raimundo - Ridin' With Rocco Vol. 2

It's early, too early for electro, too early for deep house, but you know what it's not too early for? That's right, sexy disco. That sexy, sultry, sway side to side, think about the one you love, lighthearted, up beat, tickle the keys disco. This Rocco Raimundo mix is just that, a way to ease your way into the day, or ease that special someone into the sheets. It's like a white button down and a chameleon, its universal and adaptable. That Late Nite Tuff Guy - Keep Forgettin' [LNTG Rework] also stirs some memories of Jadakiss's "Kiss is Spittin'" for those hip hop fans out there. So if you're at your desk, get your toes ready to get to tappin', because it's goin' down.

Tyson - "Fight"

British weirdo, Tyson, has his new track "Fight" temporarily available for download on Soundcloud. You may have heard Tyson's disco flavor explode on the Magician's Magic Tape 8 with his first major release "Die on the Dancefloor," and the following month Magic Tape 9 had the release of "Out My Mind" (which makes me want to head to a roller disco, skate backwards, and croon at an attractive young woman who is blushing at my grand gesture). He seems to never show his face, and tweets some of the more inspirational/creepy tweets that pop up onto my Twitter account. If you love disco, or just woke up out of an early 80's time machine, you are sure to like Tyson.

Chromeo - "When Night Falls" (LIFELIKE Remix)

There's nothing like a good ol' Chromeo remix to get the juices flowin' in the AM. Today's comes from French DJ, LIFELIKE, so do yourself a favor...swivel those hips.

Mille - Afterski

This track time travels you back somewhere in the 80s to a ski lodge after a hard day of skiing. Aptly named "Afterski," Mille's blend of 8bit/electro will evoke dreams of neon and dancing.

Mille - Afterski by Mille Music

Starlesoufs - Secret Love

Here's a downtempo, self described "french house" track from Starlesoufs for you on this Monday morning. It has a nice cosmic/space disco feel that's not a bad way to start the week. We'll pick up the tempo as the day goes on.

Booka Shade - "Regenerate" (Kris Menace Remix)

So I dropped in with a remix of Emil's "Walkin on the Moon" by Kris Menace last week, however, sitting at my computer today, my man Kris Menace has popped back up, this time with a remix to Booka Shade's "Regenerate."  Best part about the original - the Super Mario Fireballs that get dropped on the track.  Best part about the remix by Menace?  The monster drop with fire balls a la mode. Deepest of the deep house, get after it.

Housse De Racket - Roman (Oliver Remix)

Good morning ladies and gents, here's some french disco to get the blood moving on this friday morning. Who's ready for the weekend?

Foster the People - Houdini (RAC Remix)

An absolute monster of a track. I've been loving a bunch of RAC remixes lately, and two of them happen to be FTP tracks, including this one. With a huge build, the drop will have you singing "I want to disappear" for hours after hearing this.

Foster The People - Houdini (RAC Mix) by RAC

Foster the People - Call it What You Want (Mille Remix)

Another FTP remix for you, this time by Mille. A great 80's dance feel in this once, Mille does a great job.

Foster the People - Helena Beat (Build Remix)

In honor of tonight's Foster the People/Cut Copy show, here's a remix of their track Helena. I'm really excited to check these guys out as I've been enjoying a lot of their music in the last few months.

Starsmith - Champion

A great electro pop track from Starsmith. Starts out with some abrassive electro, then drops into a small piano solo with vocals that give it a great pop feel.

Silenx - Night Drive Music

Good morning ladies and gents, hope you all had a wondeful weekend. Kicking off the week is Silenx's recent mixtape "Night Drive Music" which he describes like so:

""Night Drive Music Mixtape" is a story about cars, highways, ladies and synthetic vibes. A mixture of 80s, dreamwave and electronic flavours. Lots of high energy for your burnout road adventures. Hope you enjoy it."

I doubt any of you need any more convincing then that. The mix sets the pace very nicely with a Kavinsky track to start it off that you might recognize from the Valerie and Friends compilation a year or so ago. Don't miss this one.

Tracklist:
01. (Intro.) Kavinsky – Flashback
02. Russ Chimes – Daytona
03. Cut Copy – Far Away (Damn Arms Remix)
04. Tesla Boy – Electric Lady
05. White Sea – Ladykiller (Gigamesh Remix)
06. DVAS – Inner Sanctum
07. GRUM – Fashion
08. Chromeo – Hot Mess (Ride The Universe Remix)
09. Muffin – Sunkissed
10. GRUM – Turn It Up
11. Empire Of The Sun – We Are The People (Build Remix)
12. Anoraak – Nightdrive With You (Fear Of Tigers Remix)
13. Xinobi – Woodstock
14. (Outro.) GRUM – LA Lights

Empire of the Sun - Walking On A Dream (EarthMoonEarth Remix)

A fresh remix on an older track on this friday afternoon. An rendition with a certain dreamwave3 feel is the perfect song for a sunday by the pool or at the beach. Enjoy the weekend.

Emil - Walkin' on the Moon (Kris Menace Remix)

Michael Jackson may have passed quite some time ago, however, people will continue to try and mimic his style for infiinity.  UK pop singer Emil is one of those many, taking samples from "Walkin' on the Moon" by The Dream and throwing his vocals on board.  Once Kris Menace's golden touch hit the track, electro pop hotness was born.  Menace, a German born DJ/producer specializes in electro, house, and has been seen on other remixes such as Booka Shade's official "Regenerate" remix tape.  Get your full length mirror windexed and ready for a potential dance off with yourself.

Emil - Walkin' On the Moon (Kris Menace Remix)

Robyn - Indestructible (A-Trak Remix)

Here's a high octane, locomotive style remix from A-Trak of Robyn's "Indestructible" coming at ya. Albeit a tad old, Robyn's disco vocals mixed with the night rider esque synth lines and repetitive yet catchy drum loop makes for a great track.

John Legend - Rolling In The Deep (Edwin van Cleef Remix)

Here's a track that has been on repeat for weeks for me. It's Edwin van Cleef's remix of John Legend's cover of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep." Whew. Adele's original track is one I'm sure you all have heard, along with Villa's remix which was featured on a recent Magician mixtape, however I wouldn't be surprised if this one snuck by. Legend's soulful vocals bring out a different, deeper side of the song that is backed up with an absolute dance party behind it.

Who's ready to get back on Fresh Mode?

Hello my fellow music listeners!

It's been a long time, but the time has finally come for me to get back into blogging and sharing music with all you fine folks. I imagine most of you have long stopped coming to the blog, but perhaps some of you still have me tucked away somewhere in your Google Reader hoping one day "The Fresh Mode (1)" will appear, well, today is that day. Lots has changed in my life, but I wont bother boring you with what kept me from posting. I hope to have almost daily updates starting with today, and what better way to start then with the recently leaked mix compilation from The Twelves.

With my first Twelves set coming up this Friday night, I was happy to see this passed my way and I couldn't think of a better way to reboot the blog then with this mix. The first 7 tracks are exclusive unreleased dub's of recent Twelves remixes which is wonderfully slow way to get it started and get your body moving. The remaining tracks start to really take off with the Ratatat track and deliver a perfectly mixed blend of funk, pop and electro. For those familiar with their essential mix (one of the best mixes ever in my opinion), this is not as electro heavy or aggressive, but still manages to really get you dancing.

It's good to be back. Enjoy.
