Ted and Francis

Labeled in the genre of Tropical Pop, this duo is just another example of the amazing music coming out of Australia. Here you'll find two tracks. The first, "Ereland," is perfect from beginning to end. About 2 minutes in you'll wish you were sitting by the beach in Sydney having a dance party with your friends. The second, "Heart Shake," is just as good with much more of a pop feel. Check out their Myspace for some other great tunes as well.

Check out this debut EP from We Plants Are Happy Plants titled "548". A perfect mix of spacey synth riffs mixed with solid acid beats. It's extremely enjoyable, with my favorite track being Invisible Elephant.

Also included below is another one of their tracks titled "Apollo." It starts off with a fantastic sample that sets the mood for the entire track. A 32 note arpeggio lays the groundwork and once the percussion and synths come in, you'll feel like your dancing in outer space, our favorite place to be.

David Byrne - Dance in Vaseline (Remixed by Thievery Corporation)

If you like the Talking Heads, which I'm sure you do, make sure you download this remix done by The Thievery Corporation of "Dance in Vaseline". Combines that lounge/dub style that Thievery is known for with Byrne's fantastic lyrics to produce a great remix.

Manvel Ter-Pogosyan and Soren S - Balearic Sessions (EP)

Some more great balearic tunes for your listening pleasure. The first track done by Manvel is titled "Tears of Armenia" and is definitely more on the trance side of Balearic, not particularlly my favorite, but worth a listen. The real highlight here are both versions of Soren S's "Sand in Your Shoes". Talk about a perfect track to wake up to in the morning or drift off to at 5am. Get on it.
